Wayne and Stef's experience includes many years on the waters of the Hauraki Gulf on both private and commercial vessels, cruising, fishing, diving, sailing and exploring. Wayne first went offshore in the '70's cruising the Great Barrier Reef, also spending time crewing aboard prawn trawlers on Australia's east coast.
Experience includes a position as master and engineer aboard a 60' motor sailing catamaran, from new-build to commissioning which included many hours in the outer Hauraki Gulf and extended coastal cruises and sailing from New Zealand to the waters of New Caledonia and Vanuatu areas game fishing.
During the '80's & 90's Wayne and Stef owned and operated their own mechanical repair business during which time as members of the Panmure Yacht & Boating club (in Auckland NZ), they competed successfully in many yacht races, representing both the club and New Zealand locally and internationally.
Their enjoyment and years of involvement with boating, fishing and sailing recreationally meant it was a natural move to the next level and after undergoing the necessary training and professional up-skilling, in 1997 Wayne and Stef formed a company bought their boat and began operating from Mangawhai Heads.
RnR specialises in taking cruising and fishing charters to the Mokohinau Islands, Great Barrier Island and the outer Hauraki Gulf.
