They also hooked into a big (150 to 180kg) Bronzie while at anchor and fishing for Snapper. Wayne pulled up the anchor and the angler played it for an hour and a half, getting it up to the boat. They were keen to boat it, but that is not an option when only geared and crewed for bottom fishing. As a rule it is expected that most anglers release sharks unless they are competition fishing and prepared.
